Do you want to create a blog that looks professional to drive new visitors or promote your own business online? If the answer is yes, this article will help you quickly make one FOR FREE and without spending more than 20 minutes. So let’s get started!

First step: Create the Blog


In this article, we will be using Blogger to create our Blog. Blogger is a Google-sponsored free Weblog service that allows users to publish text, pictures, and videos.


The first thing you have to do is to go to www.blogger.com and Sign in with your Gmail account :



Once you sign up with your Gmail account, you will be able to see the  Blogger’s Dashboard. As you can notice, we have all the necessary tools to manage our blog(s) on the left side of the dashboard.



To create a new Blog, click on the grey arrow :



Once you have clicked on the grey arrow :



Give it a name ( in this case, I have chosen EasyMoney) and click on Next :



Afterward, you will have to choose the URL for your Blog. Make sure that the name you are going to choose is available :



When you click on save, your dashboard will look like this :



Click on View blog :



You will see your blog with no Posts :



Second Step: Install the theme


Now that we have created the blog, the next step is to select a theme.

When you click on theme, you will see your current theme next to my theme, and if you scroll down, you will notice that there are other themes :

To create a blog like the one you are visiting now, click on downloads > Theme templates :


Click on Download next to POLAR THEME :



Go back to the Blogger dashboard and select Theme. Under my theme, you can notice a customize button with a small arrow on which you will have to click :



Select restore :


And click on Upload :



Upload the Polar free version 1.0 that you have just downloaded :



Click on View Blog :



You can see the template of your blog that you will have to change later :


Third Step: Change the logo

Now that we have our template, it's time to adapt it to our needs. Changing the logo is crucial in personalizing your website and creating your brand.

Now open the template ( Polar free version) and click on right-click on the logo to save the image on your computer.


Once the logo is downloaded, right-click on the image and click on properties :




Go to details to check the dimension. As you can see, the value is 176 x 50, which means that the logo you will create must have the exact dimensions :

How are we going to create our logo? Simply by using a nifty tool called Canva: go to www.canva.com.

Click on Create a design > Custom size :




Put the height and the width (176 X 50) :




If you decide to use a logo with text, click on text and choose the style you want. In this case, as an example, we will use the green text :


Enter the name of your logo ( in this case, EasyMoney) :
When you finish editing your logo, click on share, and afterward, Download

Come back to your blogger dashboard and click on Layout and click on the pencil in the Header Log field :


Now click on Upload Image from computer :

Click on Save :

Visit your website, and you will notice that the logo has changed :


Fourth step: Add a Post

Now we have reached the most important of this article as it’s the main activity of a blog. To add a post using this template on Blogger is Easy.


Your blog will look like this with the posts :



When you go back to your dashboard and click on posts, you will see that you have no post ( which is expected as you have just created your blog) :



If you want to create a new post, just click on New Post :



Once you click on New Post, you see a blank page. It is here where you will have to write your article :



  • 1) This is where you will put your title

  • 2) This is the blank page where you will write your article

  • 3)This is where you will have to categorize your article.



Let’s write an article about how to Make Money Offline & Online :



Note that you can also add a picture to your article. You can use Pexels.com to find the image that corresponds to your writing. As we are speaking about money, I choose the first picture as an example in our case.




If you click on preview, you will  have a view of what your article will look like before you decide to publish it :



When you are ready, you can publish it :



When it’s published, you automatically come back to the dashboard, and you will see your first post appearing :



If you click on view Blog, you will see the published version of your post :



As you can see, there is a banner place for Ads above your post. If you have a banner, you can use it to promote something. For that, you need to come back to your Blogger dashboard and click on Layout :



You will then click on Ad Code :



As you can see under Ad Code, in the content field, you can see the code of your banner.

If you are promoting something & you have the banner Ad code ( HTML or JAVA), you can copy and paste it there.



In my case, I'm Promoting Peer2Profit, so we will use it for our example here :


Copy the code :



Paste the code and click on Save :


And there you go :



Fifth step: Add featured Post

If you want to Highlight a post, you can do it by clicking on Feature post & choose the article you wish to be Highlighted :



Choose the article and click on Save :


You can see that the article you highlighted is the one that appears :




Sixth Step: Add the menu 

As you can see, the Blog template comes with a pre-configured menu. You may want to keep that menu, but you can also change it and  adapt it to your needs :



To change the menu, go to the Layout > Main Menu> click on the pencil to edit :



Add the new item & click on Save. Note that you will need to edit the new item to add a link when you add the new item.


For our example, we will create an item called tutorial :




As you can see, the tutorial item appears in our menu :



Once you have created a new Menu Item, you will need to link it to a new page. For that, you need to go back to your blogger dashboard and click on Pages, and afterward, click on + New page :


Click on Pages :



Click on New Page :



Add your title and the content of the page. Note that the Title will also be used as the name of your page :




Once you click on Publish, your page will be available online. But to find it, you need to type the address correctly like this :


https://NameOfYourblog.blogspot.com/p/name-of-your-page.html


When there are spaces in the name of your page title, you always need to put hyphens between the different words.


In your example, it should be :


https://easymoney0001.blogspot.com/p/tutorial-page.html


Once you have created your page, you will link it to the Menu Item. To do that, you need to come back to the Main Menu and click on the edit button next to Link List :



Click on the Edit item of the Menu Item you just created :



Paste the link of the page you just created by clicking on Site URL and afterward click on Save :



Seventh Step: Social Media

You may want to add your social media link to your blog to allow people to follow you easily.

What is excellent about this Blogger template is that it allows you to do it!


If you go to your blogger dashboard and click on Layout. You will find the Social Widget next to Featured Posts :



Click on Edit this item :



Add the link to your social media account and click on Save :



If you go back to your Blog, you can see the Social plugin appearing on the right side :




Eight Step: Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policy, Contact Us


The Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policy & Contact us pages are very important if you want to register for Google AdSense later.


Privacy Policy :


To generate, Click on Here :


Once you reach the page to generate the Privacy Policy, you have to provide the name of your website, the URL of the website, and click on generate Privacy Policy :




You can see that it has automatically generated the text :



Copy the full text ( CTRL+A and CTRL + C):




Go back to your Blogger dashboard and create a Page ( as explained above) :


In the title section, enter the title ( Privacy Policy for Name of your website), and in the body section,n paste the rest and click on publish:




We need to add the item in the footer menu and link it to the page. For that, you need to go to your blogger dashboard, click on layout and go to the editing part of the Footer Menu :



Click on the little pencil to edit the Footer Menu, and a window will open. Once it is open, click on Add new Item :




Under Site Name, you should put “Privacy Policy” and under URL, the link of the page you have created and click on save :



This is the result when you check on the website :




Terms & conditions :


To generate the Terms & conditions page, you have to Click Here. Note that the working method is the same as the Privacy Policy one; besides, you have to change the title and the name of the item you will put in the footer Menu.


Contact us :


The contact us page is crucial for your visitors as they may want to get in touch with you if they have a question or want a piece of information from you / your organization.


This is what it looks like :



To create this page w,e will be using a unique HTML code that you will find by clicking here.


As previously said, you can notice that it is an HTML code that we will have to copy and paste into our Contact us page :


Copy :



Create a contact us page in Blogger ( Pages > New Page) :




Type Contact us in the title field and click afterward on the pencil :



Select HTML view :



And paste the HTML code and Publish :



Go back to layout > Footer Menu and click on the pencil to add the contact us item :




Once you create the item, you should add the link under the Site URL. Your link should be


https://youWebsiteName.blogspot.com/p/contact-us.html


Add the link and click on save :



Now It should look like this :
